1546Kms in 9 days by bike: Land's End-John O'Groats

by Matthew Cobham for Calcutta de la rue à l'école

Hi - A friend and I are riding by bike from Land's End (the most south west point in UK) to John O'Groats (most north easterly point in Scotland) between the 30th of May and the 7th of June 2015. 1546 Kms in 9 days, with 15,000 metres of hill climbs... it will be quite a challenge!

I would like to use this personal challenge as an opportunity to also raise money for a charity I really trust and believe in: 'Calcutta de la rue à l'école' (French part of the International charity Tomorrow's Foundation). This charity was created 25 years ago in Calcutta, India and is still managed locally by a French and Indian couple who are close friends.

The charity helps provide holistic education for children who have lost often literally everything to guide them until they can support themselves. See the web site for more information :
(really recommend watching the film 'Little Wings' on the welcome page of this site)
