This will be the sixth cycle challenge for Cancer Support France for us but this one will be different. Based in our area, the ride has been conceived and planned by us. Subject to Covid-19 not scuppering our plans we shall be riding all 4 days, a total of 165 kms. For those who are taking part, thank you joining our happy band of cyclists (or walkers) and for raising money for a very worthwhile cause. For those not able to join us any donations are gratefully received. We have set our aspirations lower this year at €500 (as opposed to €1000 which we achieved last year).
We are sure everyone knows someone affected by cancer, Covid-19 or other life limiting illness. CSF relies entirely on subscriptions, donations and bequests to fund administration expenses so please help us to help others.

Last big ride before the Cancer Support France Activity for Life event from 2nd to 5th September. A 45km journey along mainly flat and quiet country roads - similar to what we shall be encountering on the event. Our friends who joined us, Caroline Lenaghan and Nik Scopes, have done fantastically well, both in terms of training up for the event but also fundraising for Cancer Support France. The main objective of Rose and yours truly has been to devise an interesting route with a pretty full schedule over the 4 days so that hopefully those taking part make memories. However, besides raising awareness of Cancer Support France, the main goal of the event is to raise money for this very worthwhile cause.

Cancer Support France is a network of independent associations throughout France that provides support for English-speaking people of any nationality who have been touched by cancer. Each association organises itself according to the needs of its own area and all associations are set up according to the French law of 1901.
