My mom, Andrea, was not just my mother she was my best friend. Losing her to cancer far too soon has left a space in my life that I’m still learning how to live with. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t wish I could talk to her, hear her laugh, or feel her support the way I always did.

This year, I’m taking on the parcours a 10 km climb up Mont Ventoux with Ventoux contre Cancer in her honor. It’s a challenge that reflects the uphill battle she faced and the strength she showed every step of the way. I want to carry her spirit with me as I climb, and I want to help others who are fighting the same fight she did.
