hello friends,

I'm running this race because for me November is a very difficult and meaningful month. Not only does it mark my father's birthday, but it also is the month he passed. On the 04. November is the first anniversary of his passing. He suffered from brain cancer and sadly passed at a very young age. Despite the pain of his illness and loss, I continue to feel his presence in countless ways, and he will forever live on in our hearts. Even though it is devastating the way things proceeded, I am incredibly thankful for the German health system and all the incredible health workers, volunteers, professionals and friends that supported us along the way. I know that I am talking of the German system and I now live in France, but I think all cancer associations deserve recognition for their vital work and impact.

For me this run is a way to honor my dad's memory and the strength he showed, but also to support everyone affected by cancer — patients, families, and friends who face the challenges it brings.
