I’m taking on the Paris Half Marathon and hoping to raise €250 for La Ligue contre le cancer. Cancer has impacted pretty much every single person I know in some way. Whether it’s a family member, a friend, a colleague or someone we love, it feels like none of us are untouched by it. And quite frankly, I thought by now we’d have found a cure. Or at least have a much better understanding of why it happens and how to stop it. That’s why I’m running for La Ligue contre le cancer, a French charity doing incredibly important work to change that. Not only are they funding vital research into better treatments and hopefully, one day a cure, but they’re also supporting people and families dealing with cancer right now, while working to improve prevention and early detection. Because until we can stop cancer, we need to do everything we can to make life better for those affected by it. I’ll be putting my legs (and lungs!) to the test over 21.1km through Paris. If you can spare a few euros to help me reach my €250 target, I’d be so grateful. Here’s to more research, better treatments, more survivors and hopefully, a future where cancer doesn’t touch quite so many lives. Thank you for supporting me! ❤️ xx Sophia Lahey
