Running the Paris Marathon in Memory of My Dad ❤️ On 4th April 2027, I will be taking on the Paris Marathon, and I’m doing it for a reason that means a huge amount to me: my dad. In 2023, I lost my dad to bowel cancer after he spent around 18 months fighting the disease. Losing him was incredibly difficult, and it’s something that will always stay with me. My dad spent over 35 years working as a London black cab driver, dedicating so much of his life to his work and the people around him. He was a huge part of my life and I want to do something positive in his memory. That’s why I have chosen to support Fondation ARCAD , an organisation dedicated to fighting digestive cancers. I want to help support the important work they do and contribute towards efforts that can improve the lives of people affected by these cancers. Having experienced the impact of cancer on my own family, this cause is deeply personal to me. I know that behind every diagnosis is a person, a family and a story, and I hope that by raising money, I can play a small part in helping other families facing similar circumstances. Running a marathon is a huge physical and mental challenge, but having a reason bigger than myself will help me keep going when the miles get tough. Every step I take in Paris will be in memory of my dad, and I hope to turn something so painful into something positive. My goal is to raise as much money as possible for Fondation ARCAD , helping them continue their vital work in the fight against digestive cancers. If you are able to donate, I would be incredibly grateful. No donation is too small, and if you cannot donate, sharing my fundraising page to help spread the word would mean just as much. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for supporting me on this journey. This one’s for you, Dad. ❤️
