Paris, With a Purpose

Rebecca Dowda — Fondation des Femmes

Last summer, Thomas and I celebrated my birthday in Paris, and somewhere between the sidewalk cafés, beautiful streets, and an unforgettable morning run from the Louvre to the Eiffel Tower, I fell in love with the city all over again. I knew before we even left that I wanted to come back, and running the Paris Half Marathon seemed like the perfect excuse. When I didn't get into the 2027 Paris Half Marathon through the lottery, I started looking into charity entries. That's how I found Fondation des Femmes, an organization dedicated to advancing women's rights and fighting violence against women. Women's safety is something I care deeply about. Every woman deserves to feel safe, to be heard, and to have access to the support she needs. It's a cause that's very personal to me, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to do something meaningful to support it. So, on March 7, 2027, I'll be running 13.1 miles through Paris in support of Fondation des Femmes! I've set a fundraising goal of €500, and any donation, no matter the amount, would mean so much to me. Whether you're able to contribute or simply help spread the word, I appreciate your support. I already know how special it feels to run through Paris. Getting to do it again for a cause I believe in will make it that much more meaningful. Thank you for being part of it! ❤️
