On July 29th, I started practising for the Cancer Support France Activity For Life Bike Ride. It takes place from 2nd to 5th September so only three more weeks of practice! I'll be participating in the Under 60 (years old - just) and Over 95 (kgs - by quite a lot) category using a "normal" bike and carrying around my not-insubstantial beer-baby for company. I last rode a bike nearly twenty years ago in Dublin - to and from the office on level, but busy, roads. As many of you know, we live near the Pyrenees so level roads are hard to find but at least there aren't many people to witness my attempts at hill-climbing. Luckily, I can't make the first day, although I'm told it's one of the easier ones. So just the three days and 140 ish kms. Please make my aching limbs and sore backside seem worthwhile by sponsoring me. The charity, CSF, does important work and, like many other charities, it has seen a drop in income because of the pandemic. All donations will be much appreciated. Donations are processed through Alvarum. It is very easy and 100% secure. Thank you for your help! Nik Scopes
