My name is Missy, and I'm fundraising for the Gustave Roussy Cancer Center in order to run the Paris Marathon in April of 2027! I wanted to raise money for this incredible organization because I personally know just how necessary and vital their work in the cancer field is. 11 years ago, I was a 25 year old young woman who was just diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. I was a young wife and mother, and I was scared beyond belief. With the treatment and guidance of my oncology team, I made it through that time without sacrificing truly enjoying life. It is because of the advancements in treatment and work of doctors like those at Gustave Roussy that I am now able to say I have been in remission for 11 years! The work that the doctors, researchers, and nurses are doing at Gustave Roussy is unparalleled. It is innovative and technical, and their ability to treat the individual and not just the disease is so inspiring. I know that any money donated will move their organization towards eventually finding a cure to cancer!
