La collecte de Elena Retourné

Elena Retourné — HELEBOR

Why I am running 42 km for palliative care? Cancer took both of my parents. I know this trial from the inside—the silent battle, the exhaustion, and the profound weight of loss. But I also know the light: the incredible palliative care teams at La Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital and home-care associations who held our hands, my mother and me, right up to her final breath. Grief and end-of-life care are true endurance races. They are invisible marathons where you need support to keep from collapsing. To honor their memory, and to ensure no one has to navigate this storm in isolation, I am taking on the Paris Marathon. Every single kilometer will be a step forward to support the dignity, humanity, and compassionate care that palliative services provide. Support my run. Every donation counts, and every gesture brings relief. Elena Retourné
