Caroline Rasmussen’s fundraising page

Caroline Rasmussen — Fondation du Souffle

I am running the HOKA Semi de Paris in memory of my grandmother, who sadly passed away recently after many years of living with COPD. My grandmother meant so much to me, and she was incredibly proud of me and my journey. In January 2027, I am moving to Paris for six months as part of my master’s degree, something she was very excited about and wanted to follow closely. She was always interested in hearing about my plans, my studies and my life, and she was so proud that I was going to pursue this dream. She fought her illness for many years, and seeing how difficult it became for her to breathe made me realise that being able to run and breathe freely is something I should never take for granted. For many people living with COPD, simply being able to breathe can be a daily struggle. I am therefore running not only in memory of my grandmother, but also for everyone who cannot run or breathe as freely as I can. Running has always been a big part of my life, and I wanted to combine something I love with something meaningful. My grandmother would have been so proud to see me take part in a race in Paris, and I hope to make her proud by using the opportunity to raise money and awareness for a cause that is close to my heart. Every donation, big or small, means a lot to me and helps make this run even more special.
