In April 2027, I will be taking on one of the biggest challenges of my life: running my very first marathon, the Paris Marathon, in support of the Institut du Cerveau (Paris Brain Institute), a cause that is deeply personal to me. I grew up watching my mom live with epilepsy and experiencing firsthand not only the challenges of the condition, but also the stigma that too often surrounds it. She also lived with hydrocephalus and sadly passed away at just 46 years old from a brain aneurysm. Losing my mom at such a young age profoundly changed the way I think about my own health. It taught me not to take my health for granted and inspired me to take better care of myself, to stay active, and to challenge myself in ways I once might not have imagined. Running my first marathon feels like a meaningful continuation of that journey. Her life and her experience have also made supporting people affected by neurological conditions and advancing research into diseases of the brain a cause very close to my heart. Running 42.2 km (26.2 miles) through the streets of Paris will undoubtedly be a challenge, but it is one I am incredibly proud to take on in her memory. Through this journey, I hope to raise both funds and awareness for the Institut du Cerveau and the important research being carried out to better understand, treat, and one day prevent neurological diseases. How you can help ❤️ If you would like to support me, you can make a donation directly through my official fundraising page. Donations are processed online through Alvarum and support the Institut du Cerveau. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will help me reach my fundraising goal and, more importantly, contribute to vital research into diseases of the brain. There is no donation too small—every bit of support makes a difference. And if you aren’t able to donate, simply sharing my fundraising page with friends, family, or your network would mean so much to me and can help bring greater awareness to this cause. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me as I train for my first marathon, for encouraging me along those 26.2 miles, and for helping me turn this personal challenge into something that can make a difference. For my mom. Always. Toujours. ❤️
