While serving my reserve duty later this year in Germany, I'm making the most of my time there to run the Berlin Marathon (my first full marathon ever!) and raising funds for the Deutsche Kinderkrebsstiftung. Supporting this Children's Cancer Charity doesn't need a second thought for anyone like me. I've lost my father to cancer when I was just 13. Later on in life, cancer made me also say goodbye to two others who helped raised me: my Aunt Perla and her husband, Demy. Remembering their suffering and personally seeing friend's young children have to fight cancer today, this is a heartache no parent or child should have to endure.
