Je soutiens SEL (Service d'Entraide et de Liaison) qui fait un travail très important. J'ai décidé de collecter des fonds pour financer leurs actions.

I support the SEL (Service for Solidarity and Collaboration : SEL in French means SALT) and with other members of my church, I will run the Race of Heros - a 10 km- the 19th of June in Paris.
The SEL is a Protestant Evangelical organization involved in social actions and humanitarian actions across the world : For a World in Need. ( http://www.selfrance.org/)
The fund raised during the race will be used to support a farming pioneering initiative in Burkina Faso. ( http://www.selfrance.org/index.php?id=1354)
With an increasing desertification new methods need to be found for optimizing how water is used for sustainability in farming.
Running for charities is relatively new in France and it is a great opportunity for both helping those in needs but also sharing the Love of Jesus.

SEL (Service d'Entraide et de Liaison)
Le SEL est une association protestante de solidarité internationale. Elle agit avec des partenaires locaux chrétiens, initiateurs et porteurs de leurs projets sur place, en faveur des populations en détresse. Créée en 1980, par l'Alliance Evangélique Française, le SEL c'est : parrainage d'enfants, projets de développement communautaires, sensibilisation du public chrétien en France.
