As some of you already know, I have been recently involved in the Scleroderma Association in France (http://www.association-sclerodermie.fr/), also called ASF, this disease touching someone very close to me.
Scleroderma is a connective tissue disease that affects the skin and other major internal organs.
It is an autoimmune condition, involving the overproduction of collagen and blood vessel damage, and results in scarring and reduced normal function of the affected organs.
There is currently no cure, but proper treatment and management can make it possible for many people with scleroderma to live full and productive lives.

The 8th of November 2015 I will be running (if all go well) the Nice-Cannes Marathon and I would like to “offer” my kilometres to that cause that has been very dear to my heart, and collect funds to support the ASF.
This fundraising will help them to finance medical research to find a cure, as well as supporting people who have been diagnosed with scleroderma and their families.
The donations will entirely be given to the French Association by the website Alvarum. It is very easy and 100% secure.
Moving things forward is very important to fight against the scleroderma, so thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support!

La sclerodermie est apparue dans nos vies il y a quelques temps déjà.
Il s'agit d'une maladie auto-immune, caractérisée avant tout par le durcissement de la peau. Elle est rare, est plus fréquente chez la femme et ses causes sont inconnues.
Il n'existe, à ce jour, aucun traitement capable de la guérir. Par contre, plusieurs médicaments permettent de traiter certains symptômes.
En Novembre dernier j'avais la chance de participer au marathon de New-York, et courrais pour soutenir l'Association des Sclerodermiques de France (http://www.association-sclerodermie.fr/), pour laquelle votre générosité a permis de récolter plus de 1000 euros! Le 8 Novembre 2015, je participerai (si tout se passe bien), au marathon des Alpes-Maritimes, toujours pour soutenir l'ASF, qui fait un travail très important. Collecter des fonds permettra d'aider l'ASF à financer la recherche sur la sclérodermie ainsi qu'à accompagner les malades et leurs familles.
Tous les dons sont reversés intégralement par Alvarum à l'ASF. C'est très facile et 100% sécurisé.

Last Sunday, I ran the "Voie Royale" half marathon in Paris, for my last long run.
The race was nice, best part being when we ran throught the Stade de France! Loved it!

Dimanche dernier je participais au semi marathon de la Voie Royale, à Paris, pour ma dernière sortie longue.
La course s'est bien passée, la meilleure partie étant le passage dans le Stade de France, c'était tout simplement génial!
