Serena Louth's fundraising page

by Serena Louth for Fondation Paralysie Cérébrale

A few days ago I signed up for the Paris Half Marathon, which anyone who knows anything of my sporting prowess will probably think is a bit of a rash decision (!) but I think that is the whole point, and I hope it will be a really good challenge for me.
I am running to raise money for La Fondation Motrice http://www.lafondationmotrice.org/eng which is a french charity aiming to fund research into treatment for Cerebral Palsy, as well as awareness of the disease and a support system for sufferers and their families. Cerebral Palsy is so incredibly difficult to live with, but at the moment in France there is minimal time being put into research despite the fact that it is the most common motor impairment among children.
I would be incredibly grateful for any sponsorship, because it all adds up, and I think it would be amazing if I could raise some money to help this fastastic charity - it is such an important cause and it is awful that it is often being overlooked. I have been a little bit cheeky and squeezed in before my big sis... Tory did her Half Marathon in October (in a time that I would be seriously chuffed if i could match!!) and she has since signed up to run the London Marathon 2014, which is really impressive, so if anyone is kindly thinking of sponsoring me I would be very grateful if you could bear in mind that she might be emailing next week too!
Massive thanks in advance for taking the time to have a look, and hopefully helping me with my fundraising. Fingers crossed the weather doesn't get any colder so I can be out running as often as possible!
So far, I've raised
