Hello everyone,
I've been a volunteer at DAKTARI Bush School & Wildlife Orphanage for a good 6 months and now I want to do even more to help this amazing NPO!
I decided to walk from my doorstep in Gent, Belgium to Santiago de Compostela, Spain (over 1.800km). Doing this I want to raise funds for DAKTARI so they can help even more underpriviliged children and orphaned animals! More info about them also on their website www.daktaribushschool.org
There is only one rule: I ONLY walk. This means no hitch hiking, busses, trains even bicycles are allowed.
I sell the km I walk to anyone who is interested ;)
The system is quite simple:
1km=€1
I then wear (one on the chest and one on the backpack) your logo/picture/joke/... for the x km you "bought".
e.g. a company buys 20km for €20, I then wear their logo on my chest and backpack while walking 20 out of the 1.800km.

I start walking the 15th of March, I'm excited but still need YOUR help to give this NPO the opportunity to help even more children and animals!!!!!

We made it! I walked to the South of France, So I never made it all the way but after 2 months on my own it was time to head home.
Now the goal is reached and I already got a thank you letter from DAKTARI!! It came in when I stopped walking so the goal was not just reached yet but it's such a nice to thing to receive, I'd like to share it with all of you! For it was YOU who donated and made it possible!!!!

Stichting Youth Empowerment Program ( YEP ) for Africa
Our mission is to empower the underprivileged youth, by providing training, coaching and guidance to help them define their own future and motivate them to take ownership of it. Our main goal is to give the youth in Africa the chance to develop themselves to the fullest so they will be able to grasp the opportunities around them. We do this by providing training and coaching so they can define their goals and dreams in life and make a one-step-at-the-time plan how to reach that.
